SERVICE

Water damage restoration with moisture measurement

We coordinate damage assessment, technical drying, moisture measurement and reinstatement. Specialist contractors from our network carry out the work, and we supervise them.

WATER DAMAGE RESTORATION BERLIN

Remove moisture thoroughly

A burst pipe, a leaking line or water ingress: moisture often spreads unseen through walls, ceilings and insulation layers. If it goes undetected, consequential damage up to and including mould can follow.

As general contractor, we have the damage surveyed precisely, the moisture measured and the affected building components dried with technical equipment. The damaged areas are then restored. Specialist contractors from our network carry out the work. We coordinate it and document every step transparently.

The longer moisture stays in the building components, the greater the damage. Get in touch as early as you can so that it does not spread any further.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

From assessment to reinstatement

  1. Damage assessment

The extent and cause of the water damage are established. We agree the approach with you.

  2. Strip-out of saturated components

What can no longer dry out is stripped out in a controlled way, such as screed, insulation or plaster.

  3. Technical drying

Walls, ceilings and floors are dried with suitable equipment until the readings show that the components are dry.

  4. Moisture measurement

The moisture content is measured during drying and the progress is recorded.

  5. Mould prevention

Prompt, complete drying helps prevent mould growth. If mould is already visible, we discuss the next steps with you.

  6. Reinstatement

Floors, walls and ceilings are restored. We coordinate the trades required.

First steps

YOUR BENEFITS

Dry and verified

  • Thorough drying

Measurements show whether a component is dry. The specialist contractors take them, and we check the results.

  • Protection against consequential damage

Prompt and complete drying reduces the risk of mould and further structural damage.

  • Transparent documentation

We record the damage and the measures taken, which makes liaison with your insurer easier for you.

  • One point of contact

You have one contract, and from damage assessment to reinstatement the same person looks after your project.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do straight after water damage?

If possible, stop the cause, for example by turning off the water at the main stopcock. Switch off the power to the affected areas at the fuse box if it can be done safely. Take photos of the damage, inform your insurer and contact us. The sooner drying begins, the less consequential damage there will be.

How long does drying take?

That depends on the extent of the damage, the building materials and how long they have been wet, so we cannot give a fixed time in advance. The moisture content is measured continuously, and we tell you when the components are dry again.

Can mould develop after water damage?

Yes, if moisture remains in building components for a long time. That is why quick, complete drying matters. The moisture is measured, and we clarify whether further measures are needed.

Do I have to report the damage to my insurer?

As a rule, you should inform your insurer promptly. Check your policy terms. We document the damage and our measures transparently, which makes liaison easier.
