2. Overview
This website is purely informational. We do not use cookies or any services for audience measurement or tracking. Fonts are loaded from our own server. We do not embed maps, videos or other content from third-party providers. We process personal data only if you provide it to us or where this is technically necessary to deliver the page. Below, we explain what data arises in the process.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, with servers located in Germany. The web host processes the data generated when the website is accessed, on our behalf. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing our website securely, reliably and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Server log files
When you visit this website, the web server automatically records information transmitted by your browser. As a rule, this comprises:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- page or file requested
- amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
- browser type, operating system and, where applicable, the page visited previously (referrer)
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security, for example to defend against attacks. It is not combined with other data sources or analysed for marketing purposes. The log files are stored only for a limited period and are then deleted automatically.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website.
5. No cookies, no tracking
On this website, we do not use cookies or comparable technologies to store information on your device. We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services. For this reason, we also do not need a cookie banner.
6. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are embedded locally in the page and delivered from our own server. No connection is made to the servers of third-party font providers when the page is accessed.
7. Contact form
If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process the data you enter:
- name and email address (required)
- your message (required)
- phone number (optional)
- the topic selected
We use this information solely to handle your enquiry and to contact you. Your name, email address and message are required so that we can reply to you. Without this information, we cannot process your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to pre-contractual measures or a contract with us. In all other cases the processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, as we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries efficiently.
The form is processed by a PHP script on our web space. It sends your details by email to our mailbox info@sparbaubb.de and does not store them permanently on the server. The mailbox is operated by our web host (see section 3) on servers in Germany, under the data processing agreement.
Please note that emails are not always fully protected from access by third parties in transit. For this reason, please do not send us any particularly sensitive data via the form.
8. Contact by email or phone
If you write to us by email or call us, we process your contact details and the content of your enquiry in order to respond to it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We receive emails in our mailbox at our web host (see sections 3 and 7).
9. WhatsApp and directions link
The website contains only a link (wa.me) that you can use to contact us via WhatsApp. No data is transmitted to WhatsApp when you visit our website. Only when you click the link and use WhatsApp does the service process data in accordance with its own terms.
The provider of WhatsApp in the EU is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, a company of the Meta group. A transfer of data to the USA may take place. It is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient participates in it. You will find further information in WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
If you write to us via WhatsApp, we process your phone number, your name and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The use of WhatsApp is voluntary. You can also reach us at any time by phone, email or contact form.
The website also contains a “Get directions” link which points to the map service OpenStreetMap (openstreetmap.org). The map is not embedded in our page. No data is transmitted to OpenStreetMap when you visit our website. Only when you click the link does the operator, the OpenStreetMap Foundation, process data in accordance with its own privacy terms, for example your IP address.
10. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. We delete enquiries received via form, email, phone or WhatsApp as soon as they have been conclusively dealt with and no further questions are to be expected, and at the latest once the statutory periods have expired.
If an order results, we retain the data required to process the contract for as long as statutory retention periods require. Under commercial and tax law, this is between six and ten years, depending on the document. Server log files are deleted after the period described in section 4.
11. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar and by the padlock symbol. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
12. Your rights
You have the following rights against us with regard to the personal data concerning you:
- access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR: Where your data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
To exercise your rights, an informal message to info@sparbaubb.de or to the postal address given above is sufficient.
13. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR. The authority responsible for us is:
Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
